Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui

Star choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui comes to Copenhagen with the performance NOMAD, danced by his own company.

In Nomad, the audience meets a group of nomads who live a harsh life in the desert, where unity, friendship and adaptation are crucial for survival. In the highly up-to-date work, the desert becomes the image of climate change, which moves closer and closer, while the nomads' struggle for survival clarifies how ethnic and religious minorities live an isolated and dangerous life.

The world-famous and award-winning choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui has created over fifty works, and his open approach to movement, body and culture is fundamental to his artistic work.

Look forward to an evening in an absolutely special class, where great societal challenges are conveyed in the dance and provide space for reflection in the hope of change.
