Residency Program at København Danser Studios
We are now receiving applications for the Residency Program
from April TO August 2026
at København Danser Studios.
Deadline: 20. februar 2026
Under opholdet vil du have adgang til studieplads, mulighed for at få feedback fra erfarne koreografer og producere, og mulighed for at dele dit arbejde i en uformel work in progress-session.
Residency-programmet er for professionelle kunstnere inden for dans og koreografi, der har brug for studiefaciliteter til et projekt, prøver eller kunstnerisk research.
Hvad tilbyder vi: Faciliteter og Ressourcer:
- Adgang til dansestudierne i en fastlagt periode – mellem 4-6 timer per dag (værdi ca. 15.000 kr.).
- Tilkøb af morgenskole 50kr per deltager per dag.
- Mulighed for at deltage i en sharing eller workshop i slutningen af residenciet
- Faciliteter: omklædningsrum, the køkken, WiFi og lydudstyr, 15% rabat i cafeen.
Hvad skal ansøgningen indeholde:
- En projektbeskrivelse på max 1 side hvor I beskriver jeres kunstneriske vision. I projektbeskrivelsen vil vi også gerne læse hvor langt i er i jeres process – og hvor I ønsker at processen skal føre hen
- Information om andre støttegivere, co-producenter og samarbejdspartnere
- CV på kunstnerisk bærende roller og/eller dokumentation for kunstnerisk praksis i form af links til video/hjemmeside og/eller billede materiale.
Hvad forventer København Danser Studios af jer:
- Kunstneren forpligter sig, indenfor rimelighedens grænser, til at bruge studiet i den angivne periode.
- Residenciet er bindende og aflysninger skal senest 8 uger inden startdato.
- The artist is encouraged to share their process via social media to increase the visibility of the program.
- Kunstneren opfordres til at dele deres proces via sociale medier for at øge synligheden af programmet.
- København Danser Studios er ikke et producerende hus, og vi regner med at i kan klare jer selv
- Kunstneren forpligter sig til at deltage i en evaluering
Vi vurderer ansøgningerne ud fra følgende kriterier:
- Projektets nuværende realiserbarhed (Er ansøger et godt sted med projektet enten tematisk eller i form af støtte/strategi)
- Projektets behov for studieplads (Vil studiepladsen gøre en reel forskel for at få projektet til at ske eller spille væsentlig del i forhold til projektets udvikling)
- Bred spredning ift. genre, alder, og køn.
Vi kan tilbyde residency i følgende perioder:
Uge 2 – 3 – 4
(from the 5th to the 23rd of January)
Uge 5 – 6 -7
(from the 26th of January to the 13th of February)
Uge 8 – 9 – 10
(from the 16th of Februrary to the 6th of March)
Uge 11 – 12 – 13
(from the 9th to the 27th of March)
STUDIERNE
Our new Residency Center is now accepting applications!
København Danser is opening a new residency center for dance and choreography in Copenhagen in the autumn of 2025. The residency center is dedicated to promoting dance as an art form in Denmark. It supports the development of artistic research and choreographic projects by providing access to studio space and resources. Applications for the winter/spring 2026 period that runs between January and June will open on October 1, 2025.
This first period offers space for 20 residencies, each lasting three weeks.
Hvad tilbyder vi: Faciliteter og Ressourcer:
Facilities and Resources:
- Free access to a dance studio during the scheduled residency period (value approx. 15,000 DKK), from Monday to Friday, between 11:30 and 16:30. The studio must be completely cleared by 16:30 each day.
- Option to join the morning class at 50 DKK per participant per day.
- Opportunity for feedback and mentoring from an experienced choreographer, dramaturg, or producer.
- Possibility to organize a final showing or workshop in collaboration with other residency artists.
- Facilities include changing rooms, a tea kitchen, Wi-Fi, and sound equipment.
The application must include:
- A project description (maximum 1 page) outlining your artistic vision. In the description, we would also like to know how far along you are in your process, and where you hope the process will lead.
- Information about other funding sources, co-producers, and collaborators.
- CVs of the key artistic team members and/or documentation of artistic practice, such as links to video, website, and/or image material.
What we expect from you:
- If selected, the residency is binding. Cancellations must be made no later than 8 weeks before the start date.
- Artists are encouraged to share their process on social media to help increase the visibility of the program.
- Please note that København Danser is not a production house, and we expect artists to be self-sufficient during their stay.
- Artists commit to participating in a short evaluation at the end of the residency.
